Volkswagen Canada Introduces 2017 e-Golf at Montréal Autoshow

MONTRÉAL, QC – January 19, 2017 –– Today at the Montréal Autoshow, Volkswagen unveiled the second generation of its all-electric family car, the e-Golf. The new lithium-ion battery offers almost 50% more energy capacity, from 24.2 to 35.8 kWh, resulting in a driving range of about 200 kilometres on a single charge. Volkswagen E-Golf Coming to Canada in 2017

AJAX, ON – November 17, 2016 –– Today at the Los Angeles Autoshow, Volkswagen unveiled an upgraded version of its all-electric family car, the e-Golf. Thanks to a new lithium-ion battery, energy capacity has been increased by almost 50 percent from 24.2 to 35.8 kWh, resulting in a driving range of up to 200 kilometres or more on a single charge. Range in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) is up to 300 km. The electric motor itself also delivers more power and torque than the previous version, improving on-road performance and acceleration, while maintaining the same level of efficiency.
