Record April for Volkswagen Canada

AJAX, ON – May 3, 2012 –– With sales of 5,620 new vehicles, this was the most successful April in the 60 year history of Volkswagen Canada. Year-to-date, the company has improved its results by 7.3%. A total of 17,332 vehicles have been delivered by Volkswagen’s 135 Dealers nationwide.

Strong February Results for Volkswagen Canada

AJAX, ON – Mar 2, 2012 –– Volkswagen Canada reported a total of 3,539 new vehicles sold by its 135 Canadian dealers during the month of February, making it the most successful ever. Year-to-date, 2012 has also produced the best results in the company’s 60 year history in Canada.

Volkswagen Canada Reveals Its First Hybrid

AJAX, ON – February 16, 2012 -- Volkswagen Canada is presenting one of the world’s most efficient automobiles at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto: the Jetta Hybrid. Powering the all-new model is a high-tech turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a zero-emissions electric motor. Impressive driving performance combines with fuel consumption which is about 20 percent less than a similarly-powered sedan with a conventional drivetrain. In city traffic, the fuel economy advantage climbs to over 30 percent. In addition, the Jetta Hybrid can be driven in pure electric mode at speeds of up to 70 km/h and for up to almost 2 kilometers depending on operating conditions.
